Embroidery Phenology Wheel

My 2021 project is the Lindsay Stitches version of a phenology wheel. Each month, I design a repeated pattern inspired by something that occurs in nature in Australia during that time, and stitch it into its respective segment of a 225mm embroidery hoop.

 

As an extension of my Embroidery Phenology Wheel, I also stitch each design onto its own 125mm embroidery hoop…

January - Lavender
February - Turtles
March - White Flowering Gum
April - Nothofagus Gunnii
May - Dragonflies
June - Wombats & Echidnas
July - Humpback and Southern Right Whales
August - Pink Cherry Blossoms
